'Our Family Through the Looking Glass'

I was contacted recently by a lovely lady who wanted me to create a memento Looking Glass style necklace that was symbolic of her little family.

Firstly, I sketched a simple design for her to illustrate how the arrangement would look. The basis of the design was a miniature floral garden, with the two rose buds symbolising herself and her husband. Three delicate dandelion seeds flutter around the buds, each one representing one of her children. The 'botanical family' were embraced by a wildflower garden of Queen Anne's Lace, Irish moss and tendrils of foliage. The completed necklace was a beautiful bespoke piece of wearable art, imbued with happiness, hope and love.
