'Nature's Treasure Box'- Irish Silver Jewellery

My Botanical Impressions collection is a little treasure trove of cast botanicals from our farm and the Lost Forest cottage garden.

When I first created this collection back in 2020, I forged an original idea of cast foraged botanicals found around me, each one imbued with their own unique symbolism and story. I firstly create a handmade mold using the botanical to create a direct replica. This in turn encapsulates every tiny detail upon the surface, often times not even noticeable by eye at first glance. I then use my original technique of casting with 99.9% fine silver. Some of my pieces go through an extra process using the ancient art of keum boo.

I thought myself this technique last year. It is not for the faint hearted or those with little patience! I finally perfected it after many trial and errors, and the result is a luxurious and thick layer of 24k gold foil over the silvers surface. I like to choose certain pieces to be gilded, and it is always a magical experience turning silver into sparkling gold.
