'A box of treasures'- How I pack my Jewellery Orders
Today I’ll be inviting you in to see how I pack my handcrafted treasures.
The simply beautiful fluorite crystal memory necklace -The Isle of Danu will be today’s order. My core ethos for my packaging is sustainability. My velvet Lost Forest box was designed by myself to be kept, cherished and past down through the generation.
The notecard/certificate of authenticity is also designed to be kept as a memento and a guarantee that your piece is a genuine item from the Lost Forest collection.
All of my other packing is fully recyclable. The shipping box can be recycled, or reused for storing craft materials and bits and bobs. While the wooden wool fibre used to secure all my jewellery during transit is fully recyclable or makes excellent bedding and filling for bird boxes.
Lastly my hand illustrated tissue paper can be re-used to package little gifts to loved ones, or spritz with some of your favourite perfume and use as drawer liners to freshen your linen. There's plenty of uses, which is another great way to reduce, re-use and recycle.
I never use any plastic in my packaging, and that's just a little change that can have such a big and positive impact. I hope you enjoy this video, remember to give a thumbs and subscribe! -Gillian x
