'Just the Three of Us' - Baby Keepsake Jewellery
A lovely recent commission I worked on is this pair of bespoke Looking Glass necklaces. My client wanted to include her baby girls hair in both, along with her own hair and her husbands to create highly personal memento jewels.
The first Looking Glass is intended for their daughter when she is old enough to wear it. It features a miniature garden with a moonstone nestled amongst Irish moss, forget-me-not and an array of meaningful Irish wildflowers. Three floating dandelion seeds represent hope and the three family members. Her hair, and that of her parents, has been delicately weaved through the border.
The second Looking Glass features a similar idea with the hair strands, but this time the design is inspired by a miniature Irish summer meadow, with honey-toned wild grasses and blushed pink wildflowers. A single droplet of rose quartz is serenaded by the blossoms. This piece will be worn by the mother as an everyday reminder of her precious little family, and cherished for the generaions to come.
