'Life is an Adventure'- Custom Looking Glass Necklace

 

One of my final custom orders is this special Looking Glass necklace. My client sent me a delicate pressed daisy given to her by her little boy. The necklace is deeply symbolic, and features my signature design of a miniature garden of native Irish botanicals, each one imbued with meaning. It is a celebration of triumph over adversity, and hope and strength during difficult and challenging times. Apart from the daisy, each flower was picked and pressed from my own garden and the farm meadows and hedgerows. They all form a secret meaning for the owner; how wonderful to think of a language formed by nature, a quiet and reassuring sense of optimism and strength to take one step at a time down the long road of life.

The language of Flowers:

  • Ammi Majus : sanctuary and warmth

  • Daisy: purity and innocence

  • Moss: maternal love and charity

  • Meadowsweet: healing

  • Sweet Alyssum: emotional balance and protection

  • Wild grasses: new growth and togetherness

  • Dandelion seed: survival and overcoming difficulties

  • Gorse: love and light in darkness
