'Under the Hawthorn Tree'- May in Ireland
May has stretched out over the meadows, caressing the hills and hedgerows with warmth and sunshine, transforming bare bones into a lush verdant cloak of spring.
The candy-stripped blooms sway from the bowed heads of the apple trees, and the gnarled trunks of the hawthorn proudly line the farm lanes with their mops of white blossoms. The air is sweet, familiar and delicately scented with the fragrance of long ago.
Today’s video is an ode to the charm of May. Come take a walk with me along winding bóithrín perfumed with bluebells and gorse, visit our beautiful bovine ladies, and join me in the Lost Forest studio to create treasures inspired by the wealth of beauty around me. Hope you enjoy this little moment of quiet. - Gillian x
