'Maiden of the Sea-Holly’

The native Sea-Holly or Cuilleann trá are a common sight along the Irish coastline. In folklore they are symbolic of resilience, independence, attraction and honesty. Aquamarine is a stunning gemstone that holds similar symbolism, and is believed to be the treasure of the alluring mermaids, and was use by sailors for good luck. To this day it is still used as a talisman for fearlessness at sea. It is also deemed to be the stone of eternal youth and happiness.
