They formed an integral part of local folklore, often used in herbal remedies, intertwined into regional customs, and otherworldly tales involving the Aos Sídhe or fairy folk.

'Maiden of the Snowberry’

Snowberries speckle the Irish hedgerows like fallen stars during the season of autumn and winter. In folklore they are symbolic of innocence and new beginnings. These stunning freshwater baroque pearls debut a natural ivory tone with magical overtones of rose, blue and green. Pearls hold complimentary symbolism. The bewitching lustre of pearls was believed to be linked to elements found in nature; water, rain and rainbows, therefore representing the essence of life. Pearls are also seen as a transformation stone.

The pearl is naturally and irregularly formed and is fair trade sourced. It dances gracefully from a dazzling 14k gold filled satellite chain in an elegant 18 inch length. Each pearl is topped with a delicate Apatite gemstone in pale blue/aqua to echo the crystal clear seas off the wild Atlantic coastline of Ireland. Apatite promotes self confidence and self acceptance.
