'Raindrops on Roses'- Earring Collection

The new Lost Forest collection also welcomes a selection of my most popular earring designs. The Droplet collection is made up of Wishes & Raindrops and Woodland Raindrops. These were inspired by shimmering raindrops that cling to the tips of delicate flower petals and woodland treetops. I formed the drops from vintage glass beads I had in my collection of curios. I wanted to recreate a scene in nature just after a summer shower of rain. The 14k gold ear wires are reminiscent of a twig or stem with the bead of rain gently falling away from its grasp. The fragility of a tiny moment in nature is forever captured in each piece. 

I couldn't resist making myself a pair in each design. The moss has a stunningly bewitching glow when the light passes through it, creating a truly magical piece of jewellery. The dandelion seeds appear like a ghostly presence within the resin; their graceful form dancing eternally. The flecks of 24k gold leaf add another touch of glamour to the drops. The dandelion earrings possess an ethereal beauty that makes them perfect for bridal or bridesmaids accessories. I'll even be wearing a pair on my own wedding day in a couple of months.

Lastly, my signature Woodland Dewdrops are now back in store. A firm favourite with my customers, these glowing aqua and 24k gold leaf studs are ideal for any nature loving fashionista. I adore this colour combination, and it suits all hair colours and skin tones beautifully. I now have a freshly made batch that are ready to ship. The raindrop style earrings are currently made to order, but I am working away behind the scenes on ready to ship stock for both styles. Wedding planning and running a small business is a tricky balance, but I'm slowly getting there!   –Gillian x
