'Hidden Beneath my feet'

As I wander the fields on the farm, and my feet rock across the mounds of soft earth, my eyes always drift downwards to seek hidden treasures peaking through the hedgerows and mossy banks of the the grasslands. My observations often dwell on the small, almost concealed beauties in nature; the diamond dewdrops shimmering on the tips of blades of grass, the graceful flickers of light that pass through the paper-thin ferns, or the rust speckled jewelled leaves glowing between the brambles and bracken.

Eternally fascinated, these tiny finds form an integral part of my day. My inspiration is forever drawn from this place, and often it gifts me particularly special discoveries, such as the stunning fly agaric mushroom, or known as the fairy toadstool so often illustrated in childhood books. My next project is figuring out how to preserve this wondrous specimen, and hopefully use it in a project someday.
