'Our little world'- Custom Looking Glass

Here in the Lost Forest studio, I’m still accepting custom orders, and have been busy with some wonderful pieces recently. As with my current stock online, every item is made in a sterilised environment, cleaned to the highest of standards every morning and evening to ensure not only my own, but also my customers safety during this time.

I love creating meaningful jewellery for my clients. With this piece, I was asked to design and make my signature Looking Glass pendant featuring tonal palettes of purples, plums, and pinks, with tiny mushrooms and wild grasses. The composition instantly popped into my head, and I set to work.

The miniature floral landscape is comprised of my own botanicals from my garden and the farm; cornflowers, meadowsweet, Queen Anne’s Lace, honeyed wild grasses from the meadows in the summer, lush green moss and two protective mushrooms nestled together amongst the wildflowers. I also included a tiny single dandelion seed; my little signature I use in my custom pieces.

The final necklace is a thing of beauty, especially when held up to the light. The sun radiates through the petals, reminiscent of stained glass panels. It was hard to part with this piece, but it went to a lovely lady who will cherish it forever.
