'Our friend Becky'- Pet Memorial Jewellery

There is a quote that all pet owners can relate to, and one that pulls on the delicate heart strings, “your pet stays with you for their whole life, but only stay for a small part of ours’.

To lose a beloved pet is a challenging and emotional time for anyone who is lucky enough to experience their joy, their unequivocal loyalty, and their humorous and often bizarre personalities and traits; which are as unique as any humans. When a trusted and loved pet passes through this life, a large void is often left behind. The sadness is profound for most people. I am often asked to create a special piece to remember them by, thus immortalising the happiness they brought to their owners and families.

This custom project is in honour of Becky, a beautiful fluffy lady who had a long and happy life. Her lovely owner wanted me to design and create three necklaces for herself and family members. The brief was to include Becky’s distinctive fur, blue cornflowers, yellow Queen Anne’s lace, and tendrils of lush green moss. I also added in a sprinkle of iridescent crystal glitter to add a magical sparkle to the pieces. The miniature globes were formed from my signature natural pine resin™. The end result was stunning; three twinkling little globes, infused with the spirit of a dear friend, Becky.
