'The Isle of Danú'- Fluorite Crystal Necklace
The Isle of Danú allows you to wear an enchanting potion bottle that holds a fragrant portion of the mythical Celtic Otherworld. The beautifully tactile bottle is hand carved from green fluorite crystal, showcasing the crystals stunning vitreous form and colour. Green fluorite is a healing stone and promotes a peaceful state in the body, mind and spirit. It is commonly known as the ‘genius stone’ as it brings mental clarity, intelligence and mindful decision making to the wearer. In difficult times of grief or trauma, it can also bring great acceptance and healing to the heart.
Danú is the mythological Irish goddess of the earth, rivers, and mother goddess of the powerful group of Celtic deities known as the Tuatha Dé Danann. She possess the attributes of wisdom, intellect, magic and creativity. The Isle of Danú necklace is inspired by her, and the rich and evocative mythology of ancient Ireland.
Beneath the waters surface lies the realm of the otherworld or Tír fo Thuinn (land under the wave); a world inhabited by the eternally young, beautiful, and the brave heroes and ancient deities of Ireland. On the night of Samhain, the veil between our world and the Tír fo Thuinn descends to allow spirits to pass through into our own. On one such night, Danú swiftly disappeared beneath the water leaving behind her an enchanting carved bottle. As the morning sun arose, its beams illuminated the bottles contours as it lay on the mossy shore, and revealed itself to those who seek magic. Within the bottle a tiny portion of this mythical world can be found. The sweetly scented aromas of this otherworldly place are revealed in the form of a bewitching scent.
