'The Parting Bloom'

I have been taking a break from social media and all media in general, and working on recharging myself after a hectic last few months. My trusty new companion instead of my phone is my notebook. I sit with it , and visit its thumbed pages every few minutes to jot down the endless ideas and thoughts that spring into my head. I’m already brimming with excitement for the new journey Lost Forest is embarking on.

I have also been tending to my cottage garden, and enjoying the seemingly little and insignificant jobs: even removing my old foe; the dandelion, has been a therapeutic experience. My flower press is overflowing with a botanical bounty, and afternoons are spent going on adventures around the farm, and absorbing the noticeable changes in the burgeoning hedgerows. There is always a recharging cup of coffee on the go, and the simple enjoyment of a slower pace of life as this wonderful season gradually departs day by day.

Today was spent rambling through the historic garden of Loughcrew, and just getting lost in nature and allowing it to submerge me in a wave of inspiration. Here are a few snippets of the floral delights from the lovely herbaceous borders. -Gillian x
