'An Irish Spring Day'

It is the dawn of a new month and a new season. Spring is finally here, and I’m welcoming it with open arms. I’m also embracing a more positive mindset and slower pace. There are many little things that I’m looking forward to, and that keep me grounded.

I'm looking forward to the short stroll to my studio on a cool spring morning. Observing the outreaching arms of the sunbeams as they sneak through the window and illuminate my work space. The invigorating smell of the pine wood walls, and the kitties curling up on my lap as I open my notebook to begin my day.

I'm looking forward to my fortifying cup of Irish tea and blueberry oat cakes, as dunking is essential on a tea break. I take a moment to relax, breathe and be grateful to be creative and create.

I'm looking forward to spending more time with my wonderful family, taking things easier, and making my health a priority. I will be kinder to myself.

I'm looking forward to the garden coming alive again and surprising me with spring bulbs as I never remember where I planted them.

I'm looking forward to my morning walk around the garden and farm, leaving bird seed in strategic places for my feathery friends.

I'm looking forward to listening to music and turning on my fairy lights in the studio as the sun departs each evening. The magical glow within the cabin adds a cosy and warm atmosphere as I finish up my work day.
