'A Cloak of Many Colours'- Autumn Sunsets on the Farm

There is a definite chill in the air that tingles the senses, and gently reminds us that autumn is here.

Autumn is one of my favourite seasons, yet the warmth and brightness of the summer is truly where my heart is. The garden is still providing much needed colour and activity, but the signs are showing, with pretty blooms being replaced by a bonnet of seeds.

The autumnal sunsets that grace the farm every evening make up for the shorter evenings. They leave us with a comforting glow to ease ourselves into slumber, and feel content and satisfied after a hards days work. They are to be cherished and appreciated as the dark days of winter gradually approach, and envelope us in a cloak of ink black, threaded with silver and grey. For now, I grasp onto the golden light, and the canopy of colour above my head, for it seems all too alluring and desperately fleeting.
