'Where the road takes us' - Drumlane Abbey & Crom Church

Yesterday we had a reprieve in the almost constant wind and rain, and the sun graced us with its presence. We decided to head off on a mini adventure to a favourite place and a new discovery. We passed the sign for Crom Church many times on the way to Enniskillen, so we decided it must be investigated. Down a long winding, ever narrowing road, we came to a dead end on the beautiful peninsula of Derryvore. The majestic Crom Church sits within an ancient woodland overlooking the shinning waters of Lough Erne. It is a peaceful place, inhabited by the memories of the past, dancing autumn leaves and the soothing sounds of silence.

After a hot cup of coffee, we felt restored and headed to one of our favourite places, Drumlane Abbey, a stunning early Christian monastic site on Garfinny lough. You can read more about it in this Blog post I wrote .

I hope you enjoy coming on this little adventure with me. ~ Gillian x
