'You've got to pick a mushroom or two'- Foraging

Tis the season for mushroom foraging on the farm, observing their tiny peaked caps popping up in the fields and beneath the giant majesty of the sycamore and ash trees. The damp and warm autumn air is proving particularly fruitful this year, with hundreds each day appearing as if by magic. My favourites to pick are the dainty ‘mushroom couples’, which have become my signature design in my Looking Glass compositions.

I’ve taken some snapshots of my favourite pickings, each one will then be carefully dried over the next few days to then be included in my next collection of Looking Glasses. There is something so immensely satisfying about working in tune with the seasons, and creating alongside Mother Nature.
